Abstract Planetary gearboxes nowadays serve as the heart of complicated structures such helicopters, presenting a number advantages. They have compact size and low weight, achieving high power density efficiency. Moreover gearing can be very accurate with virtually no backlash modular, most stages stacked. Furthermore, last years planetary been introduced in area air breathing engines, helping to deliver improved efficiency over wide range thrusts. consist various shafts, gears bearings operate under varying conditions excessive friction, heat mechanical forces. Their use critical applications demands for monitoring systems that track health condition different components, gears, focusing towards early fault detection limited rate false alarms missed detections, on trending system degradation targeting prognostics. Therefore aim this paper is analysis dedicated dataset using basic diagnostic indicator named Squared Envelope Spectrum. The applied evaluated comprehensive has generated 1992 by Westland Helicopters Ltd (WHL), at their Universal Transmission Test Rig, testing CH46 aft transmission, United States Navy.
